How to make better aviation choices in 2026?: Webinar recap

We organized our very first Webinar on January 14th titled “How to make better aviation choices in 2026”. With over 100 registered attendees, the level of interest and engagement was genuinely very encouraging for us!

The session brought together curious minds from across the BookBetter community: stakeholders, customers, travel agents, and event organisers, all united by a shared interest in making aviation more sustainable.

Alongside our brilliant panellists: Christina Beckmann (Wren.co), Dennis Tietz (Google), and Daniel Bloch (LanzaJet) we explored one central question: how can we all make better aviation choices in 2026?

The conversation covered a lot of ground. We looked at:

  • How travellers can be nudged toward lower-impact options without adding friction or guilt to the booking experience
  • The future of zero-emissions solutions like hydrogen aviation and electric flying, or synthetic Sustainable Aviation Fuel/eSAF
  • The current state of emissions data, its limitations and its potential
  • The role SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) and contrail avoidance data can play in shifting behaviour at sale

We also asked a closing question: if you could change one thing in the ecosystem tomorrow to drive better aviation choices, what would it be and who needs to move first?

You can watch the full recording here and read the corresponding white paper here, where we summarise the most important takeaways from the session.
